Global Camping

Training Center:

An important part of our ministry is to bring emerging leaders to Alliance Redwoods for specialized training in what we do best: Christian Hospitality. We partner with camping organizations to bring emerging leaders to be trained at Alliance Redwoods and take those skills back to their organization. We hear from international camping organizations regularly seeking professional training. We need your financial support to help this God-sized vision.

Byron - Ecuador
Byron came to Alliance Redwoods for intensive training in best practices and to gain more practical knowledge on how to use nature and outdoor adventure in ministry. Byron serves at Hacienda El Refugio, a camp near Quito, Ecuador situated near some of the highest mountains in the Andes Range. He has a passion for helping young people discover God, their calling, and to have the courage to live out that calling.
Liezel - South Africa
Liezel came to Alliance Redwoods in the summer of 2013 and again in 2014 for training to take back with her to South Africa. She is involved in Camping 4 Africa that ministers to kids in the Cape Town area with the hope and healing of Jesus Christ. She says that serving at Alliance Redwoods was one of the best things that could have happened to her.

Sending Center:

We envision sending 100 camping leaders around the world to reach 10,000 impoverished kids with the hope of Christ during the next 10 years. We partner with churches to help them run camps in the following countries:

Russia - Mountain Spring Camp
Mountain Spring Camp is an established Alliance camp in Novorossiysk, Russia. Leaders from their camp have come to Alliance to be trained and we have sent some of our staff members to Russia to work at their camp. Mountain Springs Camp is looking for teams from the United States to come help them run English language camps and other types of outreaches in this formerly atheist nation that is now open to the gospel.
Nicaragua - Campo Alegría
Campo Alegría is a camp site located on Lake Nicaragua. This camp invites host teams from the United States to use their 50 acre camp. We plan to organize VBS-style camps to serve kids in one of the poorest nations in Central America. Host teams can house, feed, teach, and entertain kids.
South Africa
We partner with camps in Cape Town, South Africa that reach out to children trapped in a cycle of poverty, abuse, violence, and crime. The goal is to present the Gospel to underprivileged children by creating a camp experience with fun activities, music, and guest speakers. For more information contact Abby Abrahams at

Social Advocates for Youth
We provide scholarships for kids to participate in the canopy tour to help foster meaningful relationships with mentors.
Royal Family Kids
Royal Family Kids gives foster children the opportunity to experience camp. By partnering with churches, there are hundreds of opportunities all over the country for kids to spend a safe, fun, Christ-centered week at camp.
